What is a lookup value and why is it important?

The answer given may not be applicable in all areas of the site or may refer to features available only to some users.

A lookup value is a configuration that connects your rounds, bow classes, and age groups to the official GB handicap and classification tables. It acts as a bridge between the names you use in your system and the official names used in the reference tables.

Lookup values are essential because:

  • Without a lookup value, the system cannot find matching handicap and classification data
  • An incorrect lookup value will return incorrect handicap and classification values
