Adding a Score

Submitting a score adds it to your record and, for archers in the UK, automatically updates your handicap and classification. It also lets your club spot new club records and achievements.

To open the form, click Add My Score in the main menu, or Add New Score on your dashboard. Direct link: archery-records.net/users/submit

If you can’t see Add My Score, your club has switched off score submission for your account. Ask your club’s records officer.

Step 1: Describe the round

Date Shot: the date you shot the round.
Age Group: starts at the default age group in your Settings. Only active age groups are listed; click the green Active button to show all age groups that aren’t archived.
Class: your bow style, for example Recurve, Compound, Barebow or Longbow. The default comes from your Settings.
Round: the round you shot.
Score Status: where the score was shot.

Score Status	Use it for
Practice	Informal practice. In the UK, practice scores don’t qualify for Bowman classifications.
Club Event	Scores shot in a formal club setting that isn’t a competition. In the UK these can qualify for Bowman classifications.
Club Competition	Club competitions.
Open Competition	Open (external) competitions.

Your club also uses Score Status to decide which scores count towards club records, for example if it keeps separate Club and Open records or doesn’t accept practice scores.

Step 2: Enter the score

Use Choose How to Enter Your Score to pick Total Score or By Distance.

Total Score

Enter the round’s total Score, Hits, Golds and Xs.

By Distance

Choose the Distance and target Face.
Enter the Score, Hits, Golds and Xs for that distance.
Optionally enter the Sightmark you used.
Click Add Another Distance for each further distance. Click the bin icon to remove a distance.

The blue bar shows the running totals. Entering by distance builds your Distance Scores and Sightmarks pages.

Step 3: Add the details

Shot at Record Status, National or International Competition: turn this on if it applies. In the UK this lets the score qualify for Master Bowman classifications.
Where Shot: the venue, for example Club or the name of the host club.
Score Notes for Records Officer: anything your club’s records officer should know.

Step 4: Attach scoresheets (optional)

You can attach up to 4 scoresheets or results. Accepted file types are .jpg, .gif, .png, .pdf (10 pages maximum) and .heic.

Click Choose file and select the file.
Click Add to Score.
Repeat for each file.

A scoresheet is only attached after you click Add to Score. Choosing the file on its own isn’t enough.

Scoresheets are visible to your club unless you turn on Keep Scoresheet Private. If your club requires scoresheets, you must attach one.

Step 5: Equipment and personal notes (optional)

Equipment Used: choose the Bow and Arrows you used. Add equipment first with Manage Equipment. See Managing Your Equipment.
Personal Notes: your own notes about the session, such as conditions or changes to your setup. They appear on your Score Notes page.

Step 6: Submit

Click Submit Score. You’ll see a confirmation with the score values.

If your club doesn’t require approval, your handicap and classification update automatically in the background (UK only). If the system is busy, this can take a short time.
If your club requires approval, the score shows as Pending on your Scores page, and your handicap and classification update once a club official approves it. You can choose to be notified when scores are approved or rejected in Settings and Personal Details.
