The calendar supports importing events from an iCal file (.ics format). This allows you to bulk-load events exported from another calendar application, such as Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar, directly into the Club Calendar.

How to Import an iCal File

The import controls are located in the toolbar at the top of the calendar page, to the right of the Add New Event button.

Click the Choose file button and select your .ics file from your computer
Once a file is selected, the filename will appear next to the button
Click the green Import iCal (.ics) button to begin the import
The events from the file will be added to the calendar

Duplicate Prevention

The import process checks for existing events and will not create duplicates. If you import the same file more than once, or if some of the events already exist in the calendar, only new events will be added.

Important Limitations

The import only adds events — it does not update or remove existing ones. If details in the source file have changed since the last import, those changes will not be applied automatically. You will need to make any of the following updates manually by editing the relevant events in the calendar:

Date or time changes — If an event has been rescheduled, update the start and end times on the existing calendar entry
Cancellations — If an event has been cancelled, delete the entry from the calendar manually
Other changes — Any edits to the event name, description, or location in the source calendar will not be reflected and must be updated by hand
