How to Open the Age Group Editor

Find the age group you want to edit in the list
Click the edit button next to it

The age group editor opens, displaying all editable fields.

Field Descriptions and How to Use Them

Age Band

Set this field to define the age range for the group. The system checks each archer's age against this range to determine eligibility. Only archers who meet the age requirement can be assigned to this age group.

Gender

At present, neither Archery GB nor World Archery officially recognise Non-Binary archers as a separate category.

If you need to create a Non-Binary age group (for example, "Non-Binary U21"), you must still choose either Male or Female in the Gender field. Then set the Lookup Value to match either the Men's or Women's equivalent classification (such as "Women U21" or "Men U21") so the system can retrieve the correct data. You may base your choice on gender identity rather than biological sex.

Golden Records will add full support for Non-Binary archers once the governing bodies update their rules to include this category.

Lookup Value

This field tells the system which classification data to retrieve for this age group. The lookup value must match a recognised classification category — it may be different from the age group's display name.

Important: If you enter an incorrect lookup value, the system will return invalid classification data. Always verify that this value matches an official classification category.

Archived

Enable this option to hide the age group and all its associated scores from the entire system. Use this for age groups that are no longer relevant but must be retained in the database.

Active

Disable this option to remove the age group from dropdown menus when entering new data. Existing scores will remain visible, but users will not be able to select this age group for new entries.
