How Golden Records Determines Seasons

Golden Records creates seasons automatically from your scores using two pieces of information:

The round type assigned to each score (for example, Indoor or Outdoor)
The date the score was shot

When you enter a score, Golden Records checks the round type and date, then places it in the appropriate season without requiring you to select one manually. This eliminates the possibility of allocating scores to the wrong season.

Why Season Dates May Not Match Your Club's Schedule

The season dates are aligned with those used by major archery governing bodies. For example, in the UK, Archery GB defines the outdoor target season as running from 1 January to 31 December each year. Your club may shoot outdoors only from May to September, but Golden Records uses the official 1 January to 31 December dates to ensure consistency with Archery GB's handicap and classification systems.

What Happens to Unmatched Rounds

If a round is not assigned a recognized type, Golden Records creates a season labeled "Unmatched XXXX" where XXXX is the year the score was shot. To avoid this, make sure each round has a proper type assigned.
