This page explains how to resolve a mismatch between the classification Golden Records calculates and what the Archery GB tables indicate. This usually happens when a score that should qualify for Bowman is showing as Archer instead.

Check the Score Status

If Golden Records shows a lower classification than expected, the most common cause is that the score was entered as a practice score.

Understanding Bowman Classification Rules

Under the current Archery GB classification system, Bowman classifications cannot be awarded for practice scores. To qualify for a Bowman classification, the score must meet these requirements:

The score status must be set to something other than "Practice" when entered into Golden Records
For organized club shoots that are not formal competitions but are shot under competition conditions, use the "Club Event" status

How to Fix the Issue

Locate the score entry in Golden Records
Check the score status field
If it is set to "Practice," change it to "Club Event" or the appropriate competition status
Save the changes — Golden Records will recalculate the classification
