Golden Records automatically creates and manages seasons for you. You don't need to set them up manually — the system handles everything based on the information you provide when entering scores.

How Season Assignment Works

When you enter a score, Golden Records uses two pieces of information to determine which season it belongs to:

Score date — the date the score was achieved
Round type — whether the round was Outdoor, Indoor, or another category

If the appropriate season doesn't already exist in the system, Golden Records creates it automatically and assigns your score to it.

Ensuring Accurate Season Assignment

The system relies entirely on the data you provide. If either the date or round type is incorrect, your score will end up in the wrong season.

Important: Always verify these details before saving a score:

Score date is correct — an incorrect date will place the score in the wrong seasonal period
Round type matches reality — for example, don't mark an Indoor round as Outdoor, or the score will appear in the wrong seasonal category

To fix a score that appears in the wrong season, edit the score record and correct either the date or the round type. The system will automatically reassign it to the correct season.
