How to Add a Custom Bow Class

Go to https://archery-records.net/personal/addclass
Enter the name you want to use for your custom bow class in the name field
Select the appropriate Lookup Value from the dropdown menu
Click the save button to create your new bow class

Understanding Lookup Values

The Lookup Value controls which handicap and classification data the system applies to your custom bow class. This setting determines how the system calculates performance data, and it can differ from the display name you give your class.

Important: Select the correct Lookup Value to ensure accurate handicap and classification calculations. An incorrect value will cause the system to return invalid handicap and classification data. This matters most for UK archers who rely on the handicap and classification system.

Example

You could create a custom class called "Training Bow" but set its Lookup Value to "Recurve." This configuration makes your training bow use the same handicap tables as a standard recurve bow, allowing direct comparisons.
